When choosing a right kayak the material and construction type plays an important role, it affects kayak's performance, durability, weight, and ease of transportation and storage. Our rotomolded Polyethylene (PE) kayaks are made in a single layer or 3-layer HDPE. Zegul composite kayaks are made in A-core (fiberglass), 3D C-core (fiberglass deck with carbon hull), and full carbon lay-up.

Kayaks by typeA-core compositeThis is our most popular composite construction type, it is the perfect choice for sea kayaking, then the light weight and stiffness are important. A-core lay-up is handmade from different fiberglass fabrics that are held together by a special marine grade epoxy resin with a help of vacuum technology. A-core lay-up kayaks are very durable, and even if damaged can easily be repaired.

Kayaks by type3D C-core composite3D C-core construction type kayaks are made with carbon hull and fiberglass deck. This lay-up combines the best of carbon and fiberglass qualities, it makes a kayak lighter and even more stiff - harder hull has less flex and makes it more efficient to paddle.

Kayaks by typeFull CarbonFull carbon lay-up has the lightest weight and is the best for accelerating good speed. This lay-up is made of several types of carbon fiber, carbon/aramide and glass multiaxial fabrics to create the highest quality carbon core built kayaks in the industry. Years of experience are needed to perfect a clear carbon hull using three dimensional carbon fabric which results in the stiffest, most durable kayak.
