Our rotomolded Polyethylene (PE) kayaks are made in a single layer or 3-layer HDPE.
For sea kayak models (Play, Reval, Nuka, Saga) we use 3-layer HDPE lay-up to enhanced durability and stiffness. The technology is three-layer sandwich of polyethylene foam between two polyethylene skins that provides improvements compared to single layer HDPE.
Zegul 1-layer HDPE lay-up is used in Ormen recreational kayaks, it made using only a single layer of high density polyethylene.
We have upgraded our PE material so that the single layer is very stiff and durable, yet it is lighter than the other 2- or 3-layer constructions.
